Defining Autism 

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. Local Resources 

Autism Families of CT  Find recreational and social activities specifically targeted to children on the autism spectrum in Connecticut. The focus Is on providing programming for children on the Autism spectrum, ages 3-29 yrs old, as well as siblings and parents when appropriate.

Autism Services and Resources of CT  ASRC's vision is two-fold: to prepare those with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) for the world, as we prepare the world for those with ASD. Get a list of professionals in CT or learn about local workshop series, trainings and other educational opportunities.  

Be Like Buddy  Find sensory-friendly activities all over the United States and Australia. Some are local venues that are making their businesses or events more welcoming. Others are national chains who embrace our special community and offer dates and times for a more accessible experience. This database is growing all the time, so check back often! 

CLASP is located in Westport, CT whose mission is to provide homes and opportunities for people with Autism and developmental disabilities. The Danile Offutt Art and Education Community Center is a newly renovated 9500 sq ft space offering art, music, dance, gardening, pottery, healthy cooking classes, yoga, dance, computer lab, music, sensory gyms, academics, daily living skills, movie night and much more!
