Why Should we be Reusing and Upcycling?

The environmental benefits of upcycling are mammoth, aside from minimizing the volume of discarded materials and waste being sent to landfill each year, it also reduces the need for production using new or raw materials which means a reduction in air pollution, water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and often a conservation of global resources. There are also social, economic, and personal benefits to creatively reusing. 

  • Celebrating artisanal work and craftsmanship.
  • Supporting local and rural industry.
  • Reducing manufacturing costs.
  • Doing your bit for mother nature. 
  • Displaying crafty repair skills.
