WestportMAKES Halloween: Heroes and Monsters Costumes

This class meets from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the following days, please be sure you can attend ALL sessions:

Location: MakerSpace Balcony

Create your own Halloween costume in this three-day workshop with professional costumer C. Delari Johnston. Project may require hand sewing and using hot glue guns. For ages 8 through adult. Limit: 10 participants. 

Register online for this free program. Because of the limited space, you will be charged $30 upon registration. A full refund will be issued upon attendance or notification of inability to attend sent by Friday, September 29, to mpastel@westportlibrary.org, only if we can fill your spot.

Submit suggestions for which character patterns should be offered by September 15, 2017 to mpastel@westportlibrary.org. Ms. Johnson will determine the final 4 patterns.

About Delari

C. Delari Johnston is a freelance theatrical costumer. She has worked on a wide range of projects, from design and construction for community theater at Stamford Theatre Works to regional theater work for Long Wharf Theatre, Sacred Heart University and Ivoryton Playhouse in CT and Glimmerglass Opera in NY to Broadway. She is currently part of the small army of artisans working on the nationally acclaimed Broadway production, Hamilton.

About Jhonny

​Jhonny Parks is a stop-motion animator and filmmaker. He is currently the Stop-motion Animator at SPARKS Art and JUNK Artworks. Jhonny is known for his animated short films Wound Up (2016) and What the Mouse? (2017).

Create your own scary movie masterpiece with filmmaker Jhonny Parks in this workshop in the Library's MakerSpace. Jhonny will show you sculpting and filming techniques and by the end of the workshop, you'll have a finished stop-motion film. You'll sculpt characters, create backgrounds, and add props to your film. 

Space is limited to 16 people. Please be able to come to ALL sessions. Register online for this free program. Because of the limited space, you will be charged $30 upon registration.
