Cold Reign

So urban fantasy series with strong female leads are my ultimate guilty pleasure. This one does not dissapoint. Jane Yellowrock is a kick butt skinwalker who takes the shape of a big cat and saves New Orleans from vampire mechanations. Fun read!  3 stars!

Flatland

...about science.

The author of this book was a Mathematician who loved Geometry and how it fit in to different dimensions. The first half of the book was all about Geometry and I am happy to say that I learned something! The second half of the book was the story about how all the shapes fit into plains in different dimensions. Clearly the "romance" was the author's love of Mathematics. Interesting read! 4 stars!
